| Users |
| |
TeachSuite Administrators can create an unlimited number of users in the system including: administrators, sub-administrators, teachers or substitutes. TeachSuite provides regulated access based on the user’s security group. |
| Security Groups |
| |
TeachSuite Administrators can define which sections and features a user can access. |
| School Years/Marking Periods |
| |
TeachSuite Administrators can define school years and marking periods. School years can contain multiple marking periods (i.e. semesters, trimester, quarters, etc.). TeachSuite Administrators can also define when a marking period starts and ends. |
| Standards |
| |
Standards are the objectives within educational subjects (i.e. Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, etc.) used to grade students. The system is built to handle any state, district, school, or custom set of standards. |
 |
| System Codes |
| |
System codes are the grading systems used by schools to grade students. TeachSuite Administrators can define any grading system, even multiple systems within the same school. (i.e. 1,2,3,4 : A,B,C,D,F : O,G,S,U: +,++,-,-- ; etc.) |
| Create/Print Report Cards |
| |
TeachSuite will create a report card file for each student and a batch file for all selected students. The format of the report card is based on a PDF (Adobe’s Portable Document Format) template. New templates can be created or existing templates can be modified to define the look of the report card. The report cards can be printed on any high quality printer. |
| Students |
| |
TeachSuite Administrators can create student profiles and add student information into the system. Administrators can then select a student for class placement or grading. |
| Classes |
| |
TeachSuite Administrators define classes by choosing from state, district, or custom defined standards. Classes are then populated with students from the student body. Finally, teachers are assigned to their respective classes. Students can be assigned to multiple classes that have different standards and different teachers. Each teacher will grade the student on the curriculum defined for that particular class. TeachSuite will then gather all of the grades for each student in order to generate a report card. |
| Announcements |
| |
The system provides the ability to create District or School Level announcements. Announcements can also be scheduled, so that the message will appear at a later date. |
| Messaging |
| |
The Messaging feature provides the ability to send email like messages to other teachers and/or administrators. Administrators and teachers can communicate about school related topics or just chat. |
| To Do List |
| |
The To Do List provides the ability for a teacher to create a list of items or tasks that need to be completed. The entries are based on a due date and indicate when they have expired. |
| Comment Tool |
| |
TeachSuite’s comment tool provides access to a menu of report card level comments that can be used for each student. TeachSuite also allows a teacher to create their own custom comments. |
